State-o-mind: Mixed, excited, fearful and doubting
Task at Hand: wardrobe for mom character, add boards to celtx
On The Horizon: Production meeting, organize sounds, photoshoot
What is working: going with the flow
What is not working: stressing over stuff not being done
Other thoughts: Was a little harsh with Auston today, sorry. I am grumpy after two all nighters this week and would like to avoid any further ones this term. Don't mind doing what needs to be done to meet a deadline, but if it can be avoided... I just want this production to run as smooth as possible. Without my utopian glasses, can an animation production run smoothly?

coming around the corner...
State-o-mind: elated
Task at Hand: organize sound files, tweak ACDC bumper
On The Horizon: Loft design and sound recording, Mr. G demo class, yea!
What is working: Hanging in there
What is not working: Forgetting that it is all a process, trust the universe and show up.
Other thoughts: Feeling my mojo! So happy that my creative energy is coming back... the visit to the Tucson Art Museum probably helped kick start things again. Who knew that southwestern art could be cubist AND surreal?! Oh yeah, there are no rules in art/life, growing up with Charles Russell as the artistic deity, I adopted his vision of western art as the rule without question. hmmm question everything?

enough?
State-o-mind: busy
Task at Hand: Gather sound effects, images, update production progress in celtx.
On The Horizon: Getting familiar with celtx, organizing resources, loft shoot. Getting this group project done in 4 weeks!!! I truly believe that we can get something amazing out in this amount of time, being veterans and all!
What is working: Suiting up and being mentally present.
What is not working: Doubts and Fears
Other thoughts: Had a discussion with another team member regarding the feeling that my abilities and contributions are not enough. Feeling like a "poser" and having a hard time taking ownership of last term's project. Perhaps this is the hangover of "the sum of the parts is greater than the whole." Our project last term is amazing. I suppose without the obvious contribution of artistic style and animation it would be normal to downplay my own role?

Crossroads
State-o-mind: not so transparent
Task at Hand: getting with Auston, working out timeline for loft, r&d
On The Horizon: blues management
What is working: not listening to the voice in my head that I am in the wrong program
What is not working: listening to the voice in my head that I am in the wrong program
Other thoughts: Just need to get off of the fence (once again) put my head down and work and stop over analyzing EVERYTHING.

Let's just thow something up!
State-o-mind: Weary
Task at Hand: Getting this overdue blog done.
On The Horizon: Story, loft pitch
What is working: hmmm...
What is not working: escaping from using my brain via other distractions
Other thoughts: Avoided getting this blog done until I fully understood "The Tyger" poem by William Blake. Thus I could expound intelligently about how it related to the animation "Tyger" by Guilherme Marcondes and perhaps our own work. I must confess that asking me to concentrate on Blake at this time is beyond my grasp. The animation was powerful and extremely cool. I felt a bit intimidated watching it. The poem reads like a riddle to me, I get a sense of the power get feel it is harnessed in the poem while in the animation is is released upon humanity. As usual I am amazed at the various creative elements in Marcondes Tyger, wishing I could think of things that wowish.

State-o-mind: relieved to have a direction
Task at Hand: get outta literal
On The Horizon: research on loft, yea!!
What is working: work shopping, blogging
What is not working: my phone, the committee
Other thoughts: So glad to be partnered on tasks for the loft. I think I have learned to prefer to work in a group rather than myself... tough one for me to accept.

ducks in a row...
So here I am driving away from Emma's school and walking down the street are a black and a white domesticated ducks... long way from water. And with my broken window I can hear one of my favorite sounds in the world... duck,duck,duck... I think my creative problems stem down to the fact that I have been in such a funk that I don't really feel what I love, just trying to survive at this point. But I was reminded this morning how much I love ducks, also been thinking about my grandmother who always believed in me. She had this great ability to make everyone around her feel like they were the most important person in the world to her. At her memorial service my cousins and I were arguing who was Grams' favorite, each sure that they were right (I of course knew I was her favorite as I was her first). Sounds like a story about my Grams, in duck opera style... well something like that.
